Opening Day

Baseball begins next week, we just received the schedule. Hour long practices twice a week, the first game about a month away. Now begins the quest to locate the baseball gear from last season-omitting the metal bat this year though-mom's call. It is just too scary, a field full of kindergartners yielding bats that weigh almost as much as they do-what with their acute attention to detail and all.. Watching little kids play baseball is great though, working on their pitching stance and how to hold the bat, that first hit of the season. Three cheers for opening day!
