Jack

Winter is not Jack's time of year.

As much as he enjoys gnashing on a hearty chunk of snow and ice grabbed out of the abandoned planters on his way out the door,  he is unable to gather other dogs (or people) to hang out with him and frolic in the snow banks and below freezing temperatures with him for indefinite stretches of time.   This makes Jack quite sad.

Like many of us, he has taken some comfort in pie on a cold winter evening.   Pie, and the tools used to make them.  While rolling out pie crusts for Pi Day at the children's co-op, I turned my back on Jack (rookie mistake).   Moments later, I was out a rolling pin and batch of gluten-free and vegan pie dough.   Jack was smacking his lips.

I don't think he was in the least ashamed.

Flushing four months of dog training down the drain, we have allowed our sweet boy in our bed at night (the floors are cold and he keeps eating his dog beds).   He seems to have taken that invitation as a new, revised, open bed policy and can often be found contentedly napping in our bed.

A better woman would crack down on these behaviors, but at the end of the day he is a sweet and charming little puppy.

Some might even say sweet as pie.

Jack is a rescue from a great organization called G.R.O.W.L.  Please consider adoption before going to a breeder.
